November-December 2011 We have been in dog shows without own dogs. I have been handling and Kari working. Aurinkoniityn Sakaali has been in x ray with the result: A hips (the best)! Valindale Keep The Faith offspring has started their show career (in Finland the dog has to be 9 months old) with sooo nice results.. cacs and winner titles! On Sunday 4th December got Niki his award for the Best Veteran of the Year 2011. Here some photos of the day.
_______________________________ Aurinkoniityn Topaasi, Taikuus and Sakaali has visited in eye checking and everything was ok in the normal checking. For Taiku they did also a gonioscopy and there they could find something to say about. But I think it's better that I don't even try to explain it. ;) 28th October 2011 "Esikko" Wintry Esikko became 10 years! From the beginning of September we have known that the points were enough so: Niki became THE VETERAN OF THE YEAR 2011! We couldn't even dream about this but this is what happened. :) The competition is for all breed veteran dogs in Finland. 16th October 2011 Aurinkoniityn Tehopakkaus "Luca" got a score REK2 in Jämijärvi sleddog race trial! Congrats! 14th October 2011
This is too much. :( Penny died so unexpected. We have been in a few match shows (really unofficial "dog shows") with Äijä and he behaves himself SO nicely! 15th August 2011 Our progeny "Allu" keeshond Aurinkoniityn Ajaton has died in an accident at the age of five years! :( Our summer holiday we spent in Punkaharju-Kuusamo-Levi-Hailuoto. It means in a northern parts of Finland. Keke was in Valkeakoski dog show: third best male and RESCAC and in Turku second best male with CAC. Sonja won her "class" in junior handling in Turku, well done Sonja! 16th July 2011 Finally it was Keke's turn to go to a dog show. The first show went quite well. ;) Pöytyä: CAC and BOB!!! I took also "Jouko" a kleinspitz to the ring and he went BOB also!
19th June 2011 Niki in Kotka: fourth best male and BISVET! 18th June 2011 Niki in Riihimäki: BOS and BISVET! 5th June 2011 We were participating in an unofficial running competition. In Aurinkoniityn T-boys team were: Tehopakkaus "Luca", Teräs "Nemo", Toiveuni "Tatu" and Topaasi "Vinha". There were 21 teams in our class and the boys were fourth!
3rd June 2011 We got a new family member Peikkovuoren Äimänkäki "Äijä" a Finnish Lapphund! This wasn't a long term plan.. ;) 28th May 2011 Niki in Keeshond specialty show: third best male and BOB Veteran! 22nd May 2011 Niki in Helsinki: third best male and BISVET! I could copy these results.. ;) 21st May 2011 Niki in Hamina: third best male and BISVET! 14th May 2011 This summer is just updating of dog shows: Niki in Rauma BOB, BIG3 and BISVET3, with critique: "9 years old veteran in super condition. Exc. develope of the body. Super coat. Super mover. It's impossible to believe that this dog is 9 years old, congratulations to the owner!"! Sonja was again in junior handler competition and placed fourth! Thanks Tuija and Jari for lending the buhund Dina to Sonja! 7th May 2011 Kirsi was a way too sleepy in the morning so Kari went alone with Niki to a Tampere dog show. But not so bad result: Niki third best male and BISVET! :) Tampere dog show is one of the biggest dog shows held in Finland. Huskies are training with ATV, Niki in the rings (yep, he does also other things ;)) and Ada beside a bicycle. 1st May 2011 Lahti: Niki second best male and BISVET! We
had a very busy Easter. ;) Niki in dogs shows again: Reino's (Valindale Keep The Faith) offspring has started their show career. Hasta (Kittihof's Hasta Manana) was the first who visited official class. 16th April 2011 with result EXC2 and 17th April 2011 with result second best female! The photo can be seen here. Niki

good. We had a Swiss lady (http://www.dog-trekking.ch/) with us to see
a Finnish dog show.
6th March 2011 Niki went to a small Eura dog show and result: BOB and BISVET! 2nd March 2011 We had a different day with Huskies: they were giving rides to students 24th February 2011 Penny (Miss Moneypenny vom Alten Nierstal) became 10 years! It has been very cold here in Finland.. also we have had -33 degrees and much snow. But I´m the winter person and I love all this! Kari has been working again in sledge dog competitions.. went also to Muonio (about 1000 kilometres from here). 19th February 2011 Niki and Kari were in a dog show in Tuusniemi: Niki BIG4 and BISVET2! 12th February 2011 Niki participated in Veteran of Veterans gala. He was in finals but became second. It was soooo nice!

____________________________________________________________ Roki died because of streptococcus canis bacteria. 7th - 10th January 2011 We spent a weekend away from home: Kari was working at a sledge dog race near Jyväskylä and I went to Kajaani dog show with Taina. I had Niki with me and he did well: BISVET2! 1st January 2011 This year couldn´t start more worse: our young boy "Roki" Amarok de Ciukci died at the age of 10 months. We´ll know more of this within 2-4 weeks. The worst nightmare.
