The Finnish country & western group Nightriders was nominated for the best European country band-award in 1998 by European Country Music Association.
The nomination was due to the fact, that the bands singles "Move it on over" and "Dogsitting" gained popularity and lots of playtime on radio-stations in both the USA and Europe.
Hank Williams' song "Move it on over" reached nr. 7 on The Panel Report-radio charts in Nashville, and nr. 9 on the European Country Music Associations radio charts.
In the Spring 1999 Nightriders own song "Dogsitting" broke into Top 10 on the European Charts.
