What happened to the original Overcaster?

The current version of Overcaster is 6.0, and is for LightWave 7.5 and above. Well... actually, since the version 5.1, setups are made for LW 6.5b and above. The original Overcaster setups (scenes 1 & 2) were used for image based illumination, which is natively available in LW 6 and above. As the LW radiosity in 6.5b is about as fast as the original overcaster setups, they are kind of redundant now. LW 7.0's BG only radiosity is actually faster than the old rigs were. So i left them out. They are (Along with all the other 5.6 compatible rigs) still available for free - they can be found in the files section of the mailing list for PlugPak users.

The image based illumination made a return in version 5 though, with a script that reads the colors for a light rig from an image. If for some reason the LScripts don't work, the previous version, Overcaster V4 is also still available. The last LW5.6 compatible version was Overcaster V3 The last LW6.5 compatible version, Overcaster 5.1, was included with PlugPak 1.0
