Kaima's Coefficient of Inbreeding and Ancestor Loss Coefficient

The coefficient of inbreeding and the ancestor loss coefficient are computed in KoiraNet using the data available in KoiraNet. The number of known ancestors is given in KoiraNet, too.

As a rule of thumb in six generations

  1. the coefficient of inbreeding COI shouldn't be higher than 6 %.
  2. the minimum value of ancestor loss coeffient ALC is recommended to be at least 0.85.

[Kaima's COI]

Kaima's computed coefficient of inbreeding COI as a function of the number of generations and the recommended maximum coefficient of inbreeding in six generations.

[Kaima's ALC]

Kaima's computed ancestor loss coefficient ALC as a function of the number of generations and the recommended minimum ancestor loss coefficient in six generations.

[Kaima's known ancestors]

Kaima's known ancestors versus the number of generations.
