Äkryn Ähellys 2004

Kesäniemis loaned to our team Peikko. Luna and Nome run in the lead. Peikko was the lonely wheel dog. Antti worked as the musher. There is not much to tell about the race. We got at last zero of the race test and this was not Peikko's fault.

Kesäniemis' Awe, Hector and Ilaya run in Anne's team. This team got the third prize in the race test.

We trained before Äkryn Ähellys a lot on a snowmobile track that is about three kilometers in length. It is probable that both Luna and Nome thought to run an equal length track. Especially Luna worked furiously the first three kilometers. After this both dogs got tired.

Raine Niemi's team run the fastest time of Siberian huskies.

Äkryn Ähellys was organized well and the track was good.
