Finnish Championship of Finnish Siberian Husky Club in Lomakouhero

2005-02-26 - 2005-02-27

Finnish Championship of Finnish Siberian Husky Club was held in Lomakouhero. We took room in the school of Konttimäki. This accommodation was arranged by Siberian Huskies in Western Finland.

Antti participated in the class of four dogs. The distance in both days was 14 km. In the first day Antti took for a while a wrong track and was the second slowest. In the second day our dogs were tired, and we were the last one. We had too many races on successive weekends.

Anne competed in the class of three dogs with Tomi's Siberian huskies. Anne won the Finnish championship with these dogs. We thank Tomi for loaning his superb Siberians.

The start was on the ice of a lake near the shore. The dog teams had to go downhill to the start. Because of this many teams had difficulties to stop on the start line.
