Tervetuloa kotisivuilleni, luonnonystävät!

Olen laukaalainen luokanopettaja vuosimallia 1961 ja kuulun neljän vauhdikkaan lapsen ja topakansievän emännän laumaan johtajauroksena, joskin lauman muut jäsenet kyseenalaistavat usein asemani. Tosin Vanhin tyttäreni on jo lentänyt pesästä Turun suuntaan, jossa asustaa miehensä kanssa. Poikani asuu tätä nykyä Jyväskylässä, ja keskimmäinen tyttäremme Rovaniemellä. Saman jääkaapin jakaa nykyisellään (2012) vaimoni lisäksi vain nuorin tyttäremme.

Harrastuksiini on kuulunut lapsuudesta lähtien merellä ja luonnossa liikkuminen, myöhemmin kameran seurassa. Kaipuunani on aina ollut välittää muillekin jotain niistä arvokkaista hetkistä, joita olen luomakuntaa samoillessani kokenut.

Welcome to visit my home page and picture gallery!

I work as a primary school teacher in Laukaa located in central Finland. I was born in 1961 and have now a family of four children and a Wife so Pretty. My eldest daughter is married and living in South Western Finland. My son lives in Jyväskylä town, the sister in the middle in Rovaniemi, and only my wife, me and our youngest daughter are still using the same fridge. (August 2012)

As a hobby, I used to go fishing and boating to the sea when I was a little boy. I was interested in walking around local forests trying to find every butterfly, worm or rabbit to study or to be added to my insect collections. Later on I used to take photos of everything (moving or not) I saw around the paths I took. My desire was (and still is) to convey some of the innermost images created by the beauty of nature to others that do not have the possibility to (physically) go to Finnish forests and seaside.

Nuclear Power (= No clear power)

Olkiluodon ydinvoimala 1970-luvun lopussa. Perustyypiltään samanlainen kuin Fukushima Daichin onnettomuusreaktorit -

kiehutusvesireaktori (BWR), tosin valmistaja (Asea-Atom) on eri kuin japanilaisessa onnettomuusvoimalassa.

The Boiling Water Reactor (the same reactor type as in Fukushima Daichi crippled reactors ) of Olkiluoto NPS in Eurajoki, Finland.

The picture was taken in late 1970's. The manufacturer of the reactor was Swedish Asea-Atom, so different from the plants of Fukushima Daichi.

Ydinvoimaonnettomuus Fukushimassa on osoittautunut maailman kaikkien aikojen pahimmaksi teollisuus- ja ydinvoimaonnettomuudeksi ohittaen mm. Chernobylin reaktorionnettomuuden. Joidenkin riippumattomien asiantuntija-arvioiden mukaan uhrien määrä voi nousta syöpä-ja sydänkuolemien myötä useista sadoista tuhansista jopa miljoonaan. Ydinteollisuuden rahoittamat ja kontrolloimat tutkijat puhuvat taas muutamista tuhansista syöpäkuolemista.

Luonnonystävänä ja luontokuvaajana “en voi enää vaieta” kulunutta kliseetä lainatakseni. Olen seurannut Fukushiman ja maailman ydinvoimateollisuuden tilaa nyt aktiivisesti yli vuoden Japanin maanjäristyksestä lähtien ja hankkimut eri lähteistä tutkimustietoa, uutisia ja asiantuntijamielipiteitä, jotta kykenisin luomaan selkeän kokonaiskuvan tilanteesta. Nimenomaan kokonaisuudenhallinta on erittäin haastavaa päättäjille ja myös usein kapeaa erikoisektoria hallitseville tutkijoille. Olen huomannut, että selkein kokonaiskuva asiasta on kriittisesti ajattelevilla ydinteollisuudessa pitkään palvelleilla korkeasti koulutetuilla asiantuntijainsinööreillä ja yllättävää kyllä – monilla kansalaisaktivisteilla, jotka ovat hankkineet erittäin motivoituneesti alan tietoa jo usein vuosikymmenien ajan. Myös monille uuden informaatiotekniikan hyvin hallitseville nuoremmille uutissivustojen pitäjille on hämmästyttävän nopeasti kertynyt vaikuttava asiantuntemus ydinenergian ja uusiutuvan energian alueille.

MONET KANSAINVÄLISET TUOREET TUTKIMUKSET VIITTAAVAT SIIHEN, ETTÄ ELÄMME LÄHIVUOSINA ERITTÄIN KORKEALLA RISKITASOLLA FUKUSHIMAN KALTAISTEN TAPAHTUMIEN TOISTUMISEEN ERI PUOLILLA MAAILMAA – EHKÄ MYÖS POHJOISMAISSA. OLEMME ALIARVIOINEET YDINVOIMAN ONNETTOMUUS- JA TERVEYSRISKIT JA LASKU SIITÄ LANKEAA MEILLE KAIKILLE, MIKÄLI EMME RYHDY VÄLITTÖMÄSTI PÄÄTTÄVÄISIIN TOIMENPITEISIIN KAIKILLA NIILLÄ KEINOILLA, MITÄ MEILLÄ ON KÄYTETTÄVISSÄ.

Koska Olen jo vuosikymmeniä seurannut energiateknologian kehitystä ja 1970-luvun lopulla aktiivisesti osallistunut ydinvoimanvastaiseen kansalaisliikkeeseen, katsoin omaavani riittävät pohjatiedot energiaratkaisuja pohtivan blogisivuston perustamiseen. Syksyllä 2011 aloitin SOLARWINDPRONET -blogin ja sen suomenkielisen SOLARWINDPRONET-SUOMI -sisarblogin kirjoittamisen. The nuclear accident in Fukushima, Japan has turned out to be the worst industrial catastrophe in the world leaving behind Chernobyl and Bhopal accidents: some independent scientists have estimated that the casualities of Fukushima Daichi triple meltdown/melt-through -accident could vary from a few hundreds of thousands to one million cancers and cardiadic diseases. Some researchers that are funded by or close to the nuclear industry predict only a few thousands cancers due to the accident.

Being a nature photographer and a friend of nature I couldn't be quiet any more. I started following the development of the Fukushima nuclear disaster from the very beginning – from the first news about of the earthquake and tsunami hitting Japan. I was sure something really serious had happened at Japanese nuclear plants near the coastline and was among the first people in Finland to warn the Finnish radiation security authorities about serious consequences to Japanese reactors (read the whole story here ONE YEAR HAS PASSED...http://solarwindpronet.blogspot.com/?v=0 ). After that I have followed almost daily the energy news worldwide to get a clear overview what is really going on in Japan.

I have also read plenty of studies dealing with renewable energy, radiation and nuclear power safety issues during the last twelve months. There are alarming new studies about risks of nuclear power and spent nuclear fuel storages: the possibility of many new Fukushimas in next three to five years seems to be much higher than anybody could have thought a few years ago. It may be that we must try to be used to have new Fukushimas on regular basis if we continue using and building nuclear reactors. The nuclear waste is obviously a really serious problem that needs to be solved immediately.

THIS MAY BECOME A MAJOR ISSUE FOR WHOLE THE HUMANITY IN NEAR FUTURE. NOBODY WILL BE REMEMBERING THE CLIMATE CHANGE DISCUSSION IF THE WORST SCENARIOS HARMING NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS WILL BECOME REALITY DURING THE NEXT FIVE YEARS.
