Yesterday evening when I went out with dogs, we saw a fox sitting on the street ahead of our home. It was a girl with very short coat and I think she was quite young. She looked thin but anyway in a good condition but I´m wondering how courageous she was as in our zone there are lot of people. Hopefully she will not be hit by some car! And I hope she will not eat our cats! Better keep them inside in the nights. Of course I had only my cellular which has a miserable camera, but here is a pic about the cute girl. Isn´t it a bit like a tervueren?:-)
Btw, Rasti didn´t became a man, he returned in the baby method of making a pee without rising his leg:-)
17.6.2009
My short vacation started today, yippee! The longer one I´ll take later. Another noteworthy happening today was that Rasti became a Man, he rised his leg for the first time when he was having a pee.

We spent a nice afternoon with Mari Rissanen, her sons Ville & Aleksi and with our dogs. Go to see all pics from my Picasa.

We made a nice holiday trip in Czech and Germany with our dogs. In Czech we visited e.g. in FMBB (championship competition of berger belge) and at Beata and Jacub Stybr, kennel Deabei (the breeder of Rasti). In Germany we just had a nice holiday in a nice cottage village in countryside. Here all pics from the trip-> Picasa
25.4.2009 We had a spring bee at the agility hall and there was also a rally dog with us. Am I right as she should look more forward when driving?
Rasti for the very first time with frisbee...
...and he was good with it.
20.4.2009 Claudio fell in love with little Sulo (Ketunpolun Cronan). He is very cute and a brave little boy. Hugs and kisses to my godson!
I think Claudio is becoming a real dog handler. With Bono (Pjotr Deabei) and Sisu (Marmara Ice Spice).
19.4.2009 We wisited with Rasti in Easter at Piia in Mänttä and we met also Rasti´s finnish relatives. Some nice pics were taken by Piia´s friend, Pia. Yes, we were two Pia´s and one Piia together:-) Nice mess when someone called us:-) More pics in Picasa

18.4.2009 Rasti was on thursday at his dentist in the last control after operation and now the mouth looks calm so we will make the last X-rays after three months for controlling there is no non-malignant tumour. Today I woke up wondering the ground which was totally covered with snow. It melted in few hours and now the landscape is again like in the normal spring but it is very cold and the growing period is late.

And from the kitchen window
9.4.2009 Our house has lately been covered by mud because animals brings kilos of it inside (luckily you don´t see my bed) and because Claudio has spent his time reconstructing a driving simulator chair of his own:-) Happy Easter!

31.3.2009. Rasti has been operated 12th of March and he has recovered well. The only problem is that almost every carpet, blanket or textil are now "tasted" as he has been three weeks without toys and bones. The operation took almost three hours, the vet drilled the deformed teeth and the jawbone, so there is now a huge hole. Luckily Rasti is young so the hole will grow halfly close. The bone didn´t look exactly normal so the vet took a piobsy and sent it to a pathologist. The answer was that there is no malignant tumour but it isn´t excluded there is a non-malignant one. So in the next control which is 16th of April, is needed again one X-ray to see the situation of the possible tumour. For the reason of my own mental health I stopped to count costs:-)
Here the jawbone after operation with the big hole which should grow close about where is the red line.
Here the mouth two weeks after operation.

Daddy is vacuuming...
24.2.2009 Rasti is haveing his intestine balancing diet with antibiotics and they works well. I just need to
prevent him somehow eating all things outside. Going out with the full stomach helps a little bit but he is crazy for tasting everything.
I need to be awake all the time as looks like he isn´t able to control what to put in the mouth. Before I was horrified seeing dogs eating
everything and now I have one of my own:-D
12.1. Lara was vomiting blood and had a bloody diarrhea
30.1. Lara was sterilized and eyes, hips and back controlled
7.2. Rasti ate a toy and had to be vomitted with the salt
10.2. Rasti got a flu and was coughing and vomiting slimy puddles for 2 days
20.2. Rasti got a bad diarrhea and a infiammation in his large intestine and got antibiotics and special diet
21.2. Rasti´s mouth was X-rayed because of missing teeth
12.3. Rasti´s teeth operation and after that 2 weeks only liquid food
I wonder what will come up next...21.2.2009 Rasti is haveing a slimy diarrhea and infiammation in his large intestine. That is probably because he is eating everything he see and mouses, shit etc is a very hard diet for the stomach and intestine. Now he has antibiotics (Tylosin) and a special diet for balancing his intestine. The diet is Royal Canin´s Intestinal -food which I need to give him for 2 months and one day costs some 10 euros:-) But how can I keep him away from these natural goodies outside??? Good ideas will be recieved with pleasure!:-) Maybe a muzzle is the only way to prevent him to enjoy
offerings of nature?
21.2.2009 we were at the vet dentist with Rasti because I noticed there was some teeth missing in his upper jaw. We took X-rays and there can be seen that there are 3 teeth, which hasn´t come out and are damaged. This is probably because Rasti was collided with something when he was small puppy and he got a cut below his right eye. This we think has damaged the billets of those permanent teeth and now they must unfortunately be operated. It will be quite a big operation (estimated duration also 2 hours) and there is a nerves canal very near so the dentist must be very careful. It is also absolutely
important and necessary to remove them quickly, otherwise there can be several problems and there is already now some purulent matter coming out in the middle of M2 and M1. Those teeth are also moving as their roots are not normal and they couldn´t attach on the jawbone. There are also some probable fracture in the cheeck bone from that accident. It is not also clear yet if I need to consider these missing teeth with how I will feed him. I think it can be difficulties at least with raw food as it includes lots of bones. The operation will be 12th of March and I´m sad and worried for my little big sweet speedy bumbling boy so I cross my fingers that everything goes well! It is not also very cheap as I don´t have an assurance. Already 270 € and the operation will be 600-800 € plus they will
also stop one tooth which is haveing injury in it´s enamel and that will be 50 €. I planned to take also Lara to the control of teeth because she is haveing several enamel damages in her mouth and I have been told it is because of poor nutrition state of her mother during the pregnancy. All enamel damages are worthwhile for stopping even they don´t last for rest of her life but it will make teeth lasting longer healthy.
Here some clarifying pics, the damaged side and teeth above and the healthy, normal side below.
Here all pic from his mouth:
Tasty intestinal balancing diet.
10.2.2009 Rasti got a flu. He was coughing and vomiting slimy puddles for 2 days quite strongly but then it blew over as quickly as it came. We keep him away from contacts with other dogs for a while.
Lara is completely healthy but she can also bring the virus/bacteria so no friends for a while.
7.2.2009 Last night was a nightmare as I woke up when Rasti bought in the middle of night in my bed a broken rubber toy (middle eaten). We couldn´t find all pieces, in fact there was at least one big missing, so I had no choice as it was too risky to leave it inside... I gave him salt for makeing him vomiting and the missing piece came out - but also lots of other things also and in half on the longest carpet we had:-) Then I had almost vomiting husband also :-D The salt made Rasti to drink a lot so in the morning I woke up with puddles of pee everywhere and he was also sleeping on one of them. Poor boy and now he hasn´t any soft rubber toys as I removed all the rest!
4.2.2009 We have also two cats, which gets not so much attention here, here two recent pics.
Sälli and Neiti lurking the dogs
1.2.2009 Finally I got the new cate in to my car as Claudio installed it.
The gate is with 2 doors and the wall in the middle.
There was at once one "prisoner" wondering the new system.
Lara, me and Rasti. The cloth under Lara´s jacket is for protecting her cut.
Rasti about 5 months.
Rasti, the big and beautiful - and so greedy for food, shit and mouses
30.1.200 Lara is now sterilized. Everything has gone well, the cut has recovered quickly and looks like Lara had no pain at all. I gave her painkillers (Metacam) for the first five days. Her eyes also were scanned, and the back and hips X-rayed. Eyes are clear and back looks fine but hips are a little bit loose but hip bones nice rounded. The vet said that if she could have an official fulmination, they could had been B or C, but probably they will never cause any problems to her.
Here the happy patient with her X-ray pics

12.1.2009 evening Lara got suddenly bloody diarrhea and she was vomiting also blood with violence. In the late evening we took her to the vet on duty in Viikki and there went almost the whole night. We
were suspecting some poisoning from the mouses she is catching every day but it wasn´t. In fact the vet told us there have been a lot of cases with the same symptoms especially this winter and when we were leaving, there was brought another dog with exactly same symptoms. Lara got medicines and all passed very quicly and next day she was already ok but we had to keep her away from other dogs for a while.
I decided to write by english so everyone will hopefully understand.
