Miss Tourism World 2001 takes place in Medellin, Colombia and Miss Tourism World Croatia, Anita Dujic runs away with the prestigious crown and title.

The Miss Tourism World 2001 World Final Competition took place last night in Medellin, Colombia and the new Miss Tourism World 2001 was crowned. This year the competition had been extremely tough but Miss Tourism World Croatia simply dazzled on stage and ran away with the Miss Tourism World 2001 Crown and title.
35,000 US Dollars in cash and prizes were given away on the night and a host of titles were also given away. Full details of who won what will be available on the website, www.misstourismworld.com over the next few days.

The first runner up of the Miss Tourism World 2001 World Final Competition was the stunning Miss Tourism World Venezuela,

Vanessa Fanessi and the beautiful Miss Tourism World Lithuania, Petra Kasparaviciute took the second runner up title.

Miss Tourism World Croatia, Anita Dujic, was delighted with her win and the sixteen year old model is looking forward to celebrating her seventeenth birthday in Colombia on Tuesday the 2nd October 2001.

The beautiful, Anita has worked as a professional model for the past twelve months and has already worked in Milan, Europe's Fashion Capital.

1m75 in height and with a perfect 88-65-89 figure, Anita dazzled on stage and stunned the judges with her charm and fantastic stage presence.

Anita was born and raised in Trogir in Croatia which is a small town on the Adriatic coast near the region of Split in Croatia. She currently attends secondary school but manages to fit in her modelling career around her studies.

A true example of beauty with brains, Anita speaks fluent English, Spanish and German as well as her native language, Croatian. Anita is currently studying economics but is hoping to specialise in Tourism at University. Anita loves to eat different foods but keeps her figure in shape by swimming and jogging and playing her favourite sport, handball.
Anita will now spend her time in Medellin, Colombia by visiting the Latin American press and TV Stations and
 also taking part in personal appearances and autograph signing sessions.

Anita is looking forward to travelling to many different places during her year of reign as Miss Tourism World 2001 and hopes to see more unity in the world during her time as Miss Tourism World 2001.

The Miss Tourism World 2001 World Final Contestants were the special VIP guests of a private lunch held in their honour by the Governor of Antioquia, Colombia.
The Governor of Antioquia, Mr Guillermo Gaviria Correa, pictured here with some of the Miss Tourism World 2001 World Final Contestants, invited the contestants to have lunch at the Institute for the Development of Antioquia (IDEA).

On Saturday the 29th September 2001 the Miss Tourism World 2001 World Final Contestants took part in the EPM Spring Official Swimsuit Catwalk Show.
The Catwalk Show took place as a live out door production at the Plazoleta de Los Pies Descalzos of Empresas Publicas in Medellin, Colombia.
In front of large audience the contestants strutted their stuff on stage and got the chance to show off their modelling skills and also their figures. The catwalk show was the perfect opportunity for the judges to select our competition titles Miss Tourism World Photogenic 2001 and Miss Tourism World Press 2001. 

Miss Tourism World Splendorline 2001 was also picked in honour of our swimsuit sponsor, Splendorline of Latin America.

The title Miss Tourism World Photogenic 2001 was won by the stunning eighteen year old, Maria Malashenkova of Belarus. The title Miss Tourism World Press 2001 was won by the latin beauty, Miss Tourism World Venezuela, Vanessa Fanessi.
Miss Tourism World Lithuania 2001, Petra Kasparavicitue was picked as Miss Tourism World Splendorline 2001.
The three titleholders posed for pictures for the press and media who attended the event before heading back to the Hotel in preparation for the next day, Sunday, when the Miss Tourism World 2001 World Final Competition was taking place.

The catwalk show was held as an outdoor extravaganza on a purpose built runway. The beautiful Colombian weather complimented the show and the event was a huge success.
