Toyway Can´t Stop The Rain
My toy poodles
I used to breed Siamese and oriental short hair cats in the 1970s and 1980s,
but when I started to breed Afghans I noticed that breeding and showing
both dogs and cats did not work out well, and stopped breeding cats. After
some years I felt I needed a small pet to take the place of cats
and bought my first toy poodle in 1991, soon after I had come home from
Japan, where I had worked as a visiting scientist for 13 months.
My brood Afghan bitch FIN Ch. El Khyrias Yarsmantih
and lilac point Siamese Int Ch. Ruskan Santeri of my own breeding
My Afghans had been taken care of by other people during my absence.
I wanted a toy poodle with a good temperament, and ended up with a bitch
from Toyway Kennels, owned by Jouko Leiviskä. My first poodle, FIN
Ch. Toyway Almost An Angel has an excellent temperament, and I therefore
decided to have more small dogs.
