How should disciple of Jesus live?

Does disciple of Jesus have to act according to the Law of Moses? Or are there some other rules that disciples of Jesus should follow? Are some works required? Not really, because Jesus said that he will not judge if one doesn’t believe him and obey what he said. Judgment comes if one doesn’t listen and if one rejects Jesus and his words. According to Bible, only righteous get eternal life and righteous is obedience and faithfulness to God. And in practice righteousness is like state of mind in which one listens to God or him who speaks Gods words as Jesus did.

If anyone listens to my sayings, and doesn't believe, I don't judge him. For I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He who rejects me, and doesn't receive my sayings, has one who judges him. The word that I spoke, the same will judge him in the last day.
John 12:47-48

Bible says even that everything in permissible for Christians. But it is good to notice that not all is good end therefore it does not necessarily make sense to do whatever.

”All things are lawful for me," but not all things are expedient. "All things are lawful for me," but I will not be brought under the power of anything.
1 Corinthians 6:12

"All things are lawful for me," but not all things are profitable. "All things are lawful for me," but not all things build up."
1 Corinthians 10:23

Does this then mean that the disciples of Jesus (= Christians), can do freely whatever they want, without thinking others? In principle, yes, but still not everything is good and if you love Jesus, you keep what he commanded. And according to Bible, Jesus spoke of what God had commanded him to speak. There is no have to in this, but if you are newborn and righteous in the way that Bible tells, you want to do what is right, because you love God. And then you love God, because you understand that he has loved you first.

If you love me, keep my commandments.
John 14:15

For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. His commandments are not grievous.
1 John 5:3

Love towards God directs to good works. And the person who loves God, tries not to do injustice and contrary to the will of God. This is why Bible says greatest commandment in Law is to love God more than anything.

Jesus said to him, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the first and great commandment. A second likewise is this, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
Mat. 22:37-39

Although it may not be reason for judgment, if person doesn’t do exactly what Jesus said, it would be however good thing, because it leads to good things.

Everyone who comes to me, and hears my words, and does them, I will show you who he is like. He is like a man building a house, who dug and went deep, and laid a foundation on the rock. When a flood arose, the stream broke against that house, and could not shake it, because it was founded on the rock. But he who hears, and doesn't do, is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream broke, and immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great."
Luke 6:47-49
