18.12.2005 Helsinki, Nordic Winner-2005. Judge Patsy Hollings, Great Britain. 13 entered, 12 present.
It was aSunday for the catankas, as we were given all 4 titles offered. With really lovely critiqueas as well.
BOB, Nordic Winner-05, CACIB Rumba (Catanka Besserwisser). Thanks again Kaisa for handling her during the whole weekend!
Best Bitch-2, res-CACIB Ella (Taste of Waltz)
Best Bitch-3, Nordic Junior Winner-05, CAC Taiska (Catanka Freedom of Speech)
Best Bitch-4, res-CAC Cera (Chili Pepper of Big Spaniel)
Taiska's litter sister Jazzy (Catanka Cry Freedom) and Cera's litter sister Boogie (Calendar Girl of Big Spaniel) got Excellent from the Junior Class.
Patu (Catanka Knock on Wood) is now both Nordic Junior Winner-05 & Nordic Winner-05, as he was best Male with CAC and also BOS. Catanka Breeders group was given Prize of Honour and it included same dogs than on Saturday: Ella, Rumba, Taiska and Patu. It was shortlisted in the last 9 groups in big ring under Carlos Saevich from Argentina. I don't know how many groups there were totally, but way over 100 at least.
And then to the critiques:
Rumba's critique: This is lovely! Just right size. Totally feminine with substance. Classic head. Moves really well with great attitude & ring presentage. Excellent coat. Excellent presentation.
Patu's critique: Lovely temperament on this lovely young man! Shapely with good angulations front and back. Low hock. Moves nicely. Excellent coat and curl.
Ella's critique: Quality bitch. Worth the Champion. Lovely expression. Correct skull & ear-set. Good to go over. Mature in body. Excellent coat & curl. Moves well.
Taiska's critique: Quality bitch, doing her job really well. Excellent head, big nose, good neck and very nice front. Well-ribbed. Firm topline, well-muscled quarters, low hock. Pleasing coat & curl. Moves with drive and reach.
Jazzy's critique: Good skull & eye. Would like more strength in foreface. Has spring of rib & firm topline. Decent quarters, just needs to grow up and develope coat.
Breeder group's critique: This lady is a very clever breeder. This is a quality line-up. I need not to say anything more!

17.12.2005 Helsinki, Winner-2005. Judge Kirsti Louhi, Finland. 12 entered, 11 present.
This Year's mega happening 'double-Winner' sealed the show year 2005. Two all breed shows in one weekend in the same place. There were 6 catankas entered for bith days but Taco (Catanka To Be Continued) was absent. Also my co-owned import Cera (Chili Pepper of Big Spaniel), was present and she was again splendidly handled by Liana's daughter Mari. Two of cera's siblings were also shown this weekend, Boogie and Leevi. Our judge was not giving too many Excellents today, and as a matter of fact there were just three adult bitches who got graded like that. So it was my Ella (Taste of Waltz) who was Best of Breed and new Finnish Winner-05 with CACIB. She was also shortlisted in Group final among last 8 dogs under group judge Henric Fryckstrand from Sweden. Second Best Bitch after her was Rumba (Catanka Besserwisser). In juniors Cera (Chili Pepper of Big Spaniel) won bitch class and Taiska (Catanka Freedom of Speech) came as 2nd, but they were graded as Very good, so no Junior Winner title was given. Patu (Catanka Knock on Wood) who competed in Junior males, got also Very Good. Catanka Breeders group was given Prize of Honour and it included Ella, Rumba, Taiska and Patu.
