Hi I am at school doing a research project for my music teacher.  Your website helped me so much.  It had all of the things I needed to know.  Thank you so much! Thanks Again, Rachel

I watched the Little Richard movie, I thought it was very good. I have many of Little Richards records and enjoy them,I love his facial expressions.Did you ever marry and do you have any children. Thanks for the great music.  Bonnie
Bonnie Wright 2000-02-29

I can't believe how good these songs still sound today. The beat just reachs in and grabs you and won't let go. After over 40 years, they still have quite a grip. Thanks Mr. Penniman
One more thing. My favorite Little Richard moment has to be when you were presenting the best new artist award at the grammys a few years back. "and the winner is ME" Y'all never game me nothing. I am the ORIGINATOR." And, man you worked the crowd and had them right in the palm of your hand. It is probably my favorite GRAMMY moment of all time. Keep a rockin' through thick or thin.
Elaine Strathie 2000-02-29

Robert Paslay 2000-02-24

I was truly blessed with the Little Richard telemovie.  Having known and studied early rock'n'roll music, I knew that Richard, more than any other artist, created rock'n'roll.  He defined the sound by introducing the world to the raspy, shouting rock voice, the boogie-woogie rhythm, the funky arrangements, the rock'n'roll scream, and the lightning energy!
Rob Donison 2000-02-24

Dear Little Richard, I grew up with your music and listen to it and listen to it and listen to it, wow what songs and and what music and what lyricsand yes the movie brought some laughs and some tears, but most of all the memories and the things you did at that time of generation great days, please besafe and thank you very much for for great mimories and great music you are Mr. Rock in roll. GOd Bless. your fan.Kim
Kim & Connie McBride 2000-02-24

Dear Little Richard, I grew-up with your music and danced my feet off to all your songs.  The movie brought back so meny memories of the "Good Old Days" and I feel I want to learn more about you because I only knew you as singer and now would like to know the Man.  Thank you for all the great memories.  God bless you always.  Love, from a long time fan.
Cathy Markell 2000-02-23

I watched the LR biopic and although I enjoyed the music the overall effect was like watching a rainbow with sun glasses. The Classics  Illustrated version at best. The man wasn't nearly as pretty as the rill thang by half. Rock on Richard.
Michael Fisher 2000-02-23

Mr. Penniman, thank you for your contribution...not only to music (which is more than enough) but to the greater society.  You are a revolutionary in the truest American tradition.  Rock on.
Tom DiMaio 2000-02-23

This weekend I saw the movie featuring the actor "Leon" presenting the life story of Little Richard.  It was the most awesome and inspiring story I've seen in a very long time.  I had no idea that Little Richard IS truly the "Father" of Rock & Roll.  Leon did a wonderful job playing this role although I had heard that you believed Prince should have portrayed you.  I must disagree.  There is no way Prince could have represented you the way Leon did.  He made me feel like I really knew you.  I felt like I knew what Little Richard was going through.  I have regained a whole new respect for you as a man and as a human being.  The Little Richard story touched my life.  When your Father was killed and you knelt down at the graveside and began to sing "Precious Lord Take My Hand", I wept and wailed out loud like a child.  I lost my Mother three years ago.  She was 82 years old and that was her favorite song.  I was so moved by this act of love.  I could see that you really loved your Father and he truly loved you.  Your family was so full of love.Little Richard, you are really all of that and you should walk with your head up really high.  I found your life fascinating and exciting.  I actually dreamed that same night that I met Leon and the young woman that played Lucille.  It was so real.  It was a big party and me and Leon...well let's just say I had my chance to really get to know him.  I couldn't believe I had a dream like that from watching this movie.  It was great!Thank you Little Richard for being you and for loving the Lord in the process.  The Bible says we all fall short of the glory of God but to whom much is given, much is required.  You have been given so much and so many have prospered as result.  I know you made some profit.  I only wish you could have more!May God continue to bless and keep you strong.
Merry McCambry-Sims 2000-02-22

Little Richard.. I was a 13 year old white boy from Huntsville, Alabama and had moved to California 5 years earlier the first time I heard your music. Everything we listened to then was C&W so when your music hit we went crazy. Our parents hated it and we couldn't get enough. They tried to cover you up with Pat Boone, or "the king" Elvis... It didn't work!!! NO ONE could sing like Little Richard... I was 53 years old the first time I saw you live in Anahiem Ca. You had the house rocking and remembering the good days gone by. You let the audience come down and dance and walk by you and shake your hand. I was so proud to clasp your gentle hand in mine. I don't know the reality of your relationship with your daddy, but I am sure he has been and is smiling down on you. They say Elvis is the king and James Brown is the hardest working man in show business... Well guess what??? Anyone that says that has never heard or seen Little Richard. YOU are the KING and the HARDEST WORKING MAN in show business. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your music and your personality for so many years. God bless Little Richard

Dear Little Richard:  I watched the movie last night and taped it.  I watched it again today and even narrated it for a blind friend of mine over the phone so she could enjoy it too.  It was a great movie and we both enjoyed it.  And then I made my Dad tape MSNBC time and again with Jane Pauley since I don't get that channel! My friend and I are both Christians and pondered a bit about those five years you "retired" (until 1962). Neither of us has heard any gospel music you've ever recorded and wondered if you might consider it someday.  I already am the proud owner of your childrens tape from 1994  Shake it All About (my three kids LOVE you too) and if you do decide to cut an album with all gospel music I would be the first in line to buy it.   We imagined that the music your congregation was treated to during that time must have been some of the best gospel music ever heard anywhere.  We both regret not having been born yet to have been able to come down and visit you at your church to hear you during those years.  We do hope you record some gospel music someday.  One question for you!  Did you see the NBC movie and did you feel it was an accurate representation of your life?  I'll tell you what my favorite part was.  It was watching that butt wiggle while you washed dishes and sang into the pots and pans.  That whole scene was cool.  Keep a rocking cuz you still can....Sincerely, Regina
Regina Gonzalez 2000-02-22

little Richard, you are a national treasure.  a truly special and great artist.  we all know you're the king of rock.  you're still here and looking good as ever.  your music is exciting to listen to.  especially keep a knockin because you can't come in. and lucille.  i turn it up when i'm driving my new 2000 corvette.  i see most of your guest performance's.  your are amazing and tough.  your movie was very candid.  you are a truly wonderful pioneer.  the one who started it all in the racist 50's.  you did not get the credit you deserve.  i hope people give you all you the respect you deserve..
Richard Chafonta 2000-02-22

I would like to know were you ever married and had children.
Stephanie Williams 2000-02-22

Hello Richard,I grew up listening to your music.  I have followed and watched youthrough print and media ... how else ?  Right ?  Don't know you personally of course... so from what I have heard , seen and read that's the only Little RichardI know... But then I know alot about the music business and I felt your movie left out all the unjustice imposed on you with your songs .  Why wasn't that brought up in the movie ?  Why didn't you speak out Richard and talkabout how cruel and unjustice they were towards you and how you fought back legally ?That's what I was hoping to see in the movie.  In 1995 , My sister and I were visiting Hollywood from Canada and stood one afternoon infront of the Chinese Theatre. My sister complained how it was our 5th  day into our holidayin California and we hadn't seen one movie star yet....So there we were on a hot June afternoon and out  of the blue  rides by this white limo with the back passenger side window coming down ... and low and behold ....It's non-other than the King himself...Mr. Little Richard giving the two of us a wink and a wave.I mean we started screaming !!!!!!  It made our trip.... My sister still talks about it to this day.Our first trip to California together  and the first star we got to see was you..Thank you for making it a memorable trip.                                         Sincerely,                                         Cali Fever                          http://www.geocities.com/~feverfan-net

The movie about your life was tremendous. As a Macon native, I could especially identify with the difficulty of growing up in that place! Our town had some great musicians- with you at the top. As a Christian, I especially appreciated the emphasis in the movie on your love of the Lord! God bless you and keep rockin'!!
