Bob Raymond 2000-12-30

Hello Richard, I really enjoyed the television showof your life this month (December 2000).  That wasreally great!  I still can't understand why thestudio didn't like that song wandering.  It soundedgreat to me did you ever record that song?  Do you have a gospel cassett/cd?I saw you one time singing a gospel song on the Oprah show, and I tell you it brought tears to my eyes.  Your mother was right, you do have the ability to move people.  We appreciate you.
Jean Clay 2000-12-27

Hi everyone ! I think Little Richard should re-record Freedom Blues. It´s a great song, i´m sure it would be a "new" hit for The King. If he did, it´s gonna rice much higher than #47 as it did the first time 30 years ago.Little Richard, you´re the one.
Robert Schultes 2000-12-26

Still touching lives! My 3 year old grandsonloves Little Richard as much as his grandad. WeHave a video of Little Richard taking off his shoes and throwing them to audience members. Jeffery says, "He's not supposed to do that!"

First and foremost Mr. King of Rock and Roll, Happy Belated Birthday. Secondly, I am in the middle of watching an unauthorized biography of your life and career, right now as I type this message, on the VH1 channel. I believe in my heart of all hearts that you are the undisputed, unsurpassed KING of ROCK & ROLL. I was just a little girl when I first heard you sing and I have never forgotten the unforseen way I was touched by the sheer unadulterated way in which you have of showering the world with your magical, musically, inchantable voice. You are unequal to all. Mrs. Yvelle Thurston Hernandez 2000-12-11

I saw the weekend LR show with Mike C(see below).  It was a helluva show, as the pretty one rocked and rolled for a good 2 hours.  It was all made better by my opportunity to shake the hand that runs those bass riffs on all those great hits.  Let it rock!

You rocked into my life in the 50,s and unknown to you, you have remained with me as a very good friend who never fails to generate the raw excitement that I first felt as a young man in Wales when you burst onto the screen at the local cinema in The Girl Can't help It. Your music remains fresh and vibrent, and always brings a smile to my soul and joy to my heart. I saw you live in Birmingham (England) some years ago and have re-lived and enjoyed that sensational evening ever since. You are, and always have been, my Rock n Roll hero.

I am interested in learning about you. I have to do a report about you and I really really want to get to know you. I have been trying to find things about you a long time. I do not want to learn about you just because I have a report to do on you, but it is because I want to get to know you better.here is a little something about me.   I am 12 years old. I am in the 7th grade you already know my name.  I will not tell you my address because we are on the internet, if we were not on the internet I would be happy to tell you. I am smart, young , and curious(as you can see). I want to learn about because I enjoy your music. My momm has all of your albums, and because I have a report to do on you. I really like all of your songs.  My favorite song is "Tootie fruittie".  That song of all of your songs brightens my day.  I wanted to come see you personally but my mother said I have to write to you first,so I decided to e-mail you insted of writing you.     Enough about me.  Let's talk about you. What is your real name?  How did you get the name little richard? Do you have children? If so what are their names? Are youmarried? I know you have a movie out and the girl was talking about she wanted to marry you but you said no(I dont blame you).  My oppenion is this, she wanted your money and you wouldnt let her take it. Some women out here are really cruel to you men(that doesnt mean you all arent cruel to these women). I think she was trying to be cruel to you and take your money, but she didnt succed in it though.  I am sorry to say that I have got to go.  Talk to you later Mr.Richard,(Mr.Little Richard)                   The pleasure was all mine,                           tweet                                tweet

I still have a fresh memory of Little Richard'sperformance here just over the border in Gronau,Germany July 1996. Such a strong and fine performance. I hope in the near futurewe got the chance to see him perform again. With kind reagardsMarten RegtopEnsched/Holland

Sly Starr 2000-09-03

I live right outside of New Orleans, and I and my husband and quite a few members of my family will be at the Treasure Chest Casino to see you perform. This is a once in a life event for us and we are all very excited about seeing and hearing you. I will be taking a vacation day to be sure we get a seat. Today, a lady I work with and I were taking about you coming to town and I told her that you were one of THE greats that invented rock and roll, and she being quite a bit younger didn't know rock and roll history, and I informed her how so many many others were influenced by you, The Beatles for one, I have heard Paul McCartney saying over and over how he praticed to sound like YOU!!! I promise you one thing, as long as I am around, people will know, who REALLY invented rock and roll. You are truly a living legend. Looking forward to seeing you, and thank you for the incredible history of music.
Debbie Calongne 2000-08-31

Little, I had the amazing experience of calling your home one day in 1979, having you pick up the reciever, and actually talking to me for a few minutes!!  (I am still shaking from it)  What I shall never forget most about that phone call was your kindness and graciousness to me (which included well-wishes to my dear Mother, also an adoring fan).  It is an experience I will share with my grandchildren, and I cannot thank you enough for it.

I very much enjoyed your show in Las Vegas 8/10/00. I never saw you performed before and I will never forget how wonderful you are. You blew kisses to me and I personally excepted kisses because I feel connected to you by our southern tradition.  You were  "Fabulous".  When I purchased my ticket, I had one thing in mind and that was to be near the stage to see your every move.   Your entrance startled me because you were right there when I turned around.  What a Joy! My only regret was that you did not play longer. Chuck Berry closed the show. Mistake, you were so wonderful.  Everyone I spoke with thought that you should have closed that puppy.   You had a much higher energy level. You strutted your stuff as if you were 30 years old. I grew up listening to your songs. I am a southern girl from New Orleans. Little Richard is not new to me. I will always love you, your bravery, and your strong convictions. You speak up for what you believe and that is integrity.I will attend as many of your shows as possible.Hint:I think that you and Al Green should team up for a concert. That will pack the house: my gut tells me that you guys will bring the black folks out by the thousands in addition to your white fans. Love You,
I want to puchase some of your gospel albulms or CD's. Please provide me with titles. Thanks
Shirley 2000-08-18

Richard, You were incredible at the San Francisco Louise Davies Symphony Hall (7/23/00).  You were incredibly kind and gracious to personalize and autograph the cover of my copy of your album, "King of Rock and Roll."  I hope that I did not cause too much of a disruption.  It was so sweet of you treat me so kindly instead of just having security throw me out!  You truly are the greatest performer of all time.  God bless, Steve Shaw 8/17/00

Little Richard, for me to tell you that I am one of your biggest 'alltime' fans would be a fallacy. I personally did not 'find' your music until 1982. At a time when disco was going out and new wave was 'in'. It was during this time that I began to listen to your music and loved it!! There was something about your music that was uplifting to the spirit and kept me going during the darkest times of my life. (Divorce & loss of a child.) I honestly have to say that it was your music that kept me on the upbeat during this time. I became known to my(new wave) friends as "Little Richard's" biggest fan and was often kidded about starting my own fan club. Despite the ribbing, at least 5 of my friends confronted me or called me at work with the news,"Wow..My God, have you heard about Little Richard's accident?!!!" It was the meaning behind these words of caring that helped me put life in the proper prospective. "Always love who you are and believe in yourself, despite being different from others, those who are your true friends know where your heart is and will stand by you all the way, despite your differences". I then went to college to major in business,in my past-time I liked to write marketing ads. I had the idea of bringing the 50's& 60's back as a marketing idea. I wrote a couple of marketing ads using "Tutti Fruiti".My roomate at the time said that I should patent them, but I didn't. I wished that I had heeded his concerns, as an eager business major I was more than willing to share ideas to get to know people and get noticed. When I saw the Taco Bell commercial in 1986-87, I did not know whether to cry or to be proud. If I were to be asked if there were any person I would like to meet in the world, it would definitely be "Little Richard"!!  My husband came home today and said to me "Do you know who is going to perform in Yuma in September?"  I did not know that Little Richard was still on tour, I guess my prayers of finally seeing "THE KING" have been answered.  Debbie  P.S. Please tell 'Little Ri!
chard' he is still as beautiful as ever!!
Debbie Neumeyer 2000-08-10

LITTLE RICHARD, I WOULD LIKE TO PERSONALLY THANK YOU.  I'M A 27 YEAR OLD MUSICIAN LIVING IN AUSTIN, TEXAS.  IF NOT FOR YOU AND YOUR AMAZING VISION AND ENERGY AND SOUL MY LIFE WOULD BE VERY DIFFERENT.  I MUST ADMIT THAT I WAS FIRST INTRODUCED TO YOUR MUSIC AS A VERY YOUNG CHILD THROUGH LISTENING TO MY PARENTS BEATLES ALBUMS.  I HEARD PAUL MCCARTNEY SINGING "LONG TALL SALLY" AND THOUGHT IT WAS THE VOICE OF GOD.  LITTLE DID I KNOW, IN MY YOUTH, THAT THE VOICE I HEARD WAS ONLY A MAN IMITATING THE GREATEST ROCK'N'ROLL SINGER EVER TO LIVE.  AS I GREW OLDER I WENT BACK TO THOSE REDCORDINGS THAT I FIRST FELL IN LOVE WITH YEARS BEFORE.  THE TRAIL I FOUND LED ME BACK TO YOU.  NOT A DAY GOES BY WHEN I DON'T PUT ON ONE OF YOUR RECORDINGS AND LET YOUR MAGIC MOVE MY SOUL.  THANK YOU AND CONTINUED LOVE, ZACH WHITNEY
Zachariah Whitney 2000-08-10

I have been an avid fan since day one back in the eraly 50's. I saw Little Richard for the first time, around 1957, in Lebanon, Ky. Most recently I attended concerts at the Ky. State Fair in about 1993 and 1994. I would go every night if there was a concert near me. He has something that pulls you like a magnet and your feet cannot be still. All his concerts are a personal tribute to his fans, there will never be another one like him. I can just think about his music and my feet start dancing, and Little Richard is such a warm, people person, and you do not find that in very many entertainers any more.  Thank God for Little Richard and his music and I have been blessed, that I have been through it all from day one. Please come back to Louisville, Ky. very soon and often.      Gob Bless and Keep A Knockin and A Rockin,  Thanks,  Tony Linney.....
