Description: A swarm of fairly nice clusters in a rich Milky Way field. Low power + UHC filter shows some signs of nebulosity in the area.
IC 4996: Easiest in the field. Surrounding an 8th magnitude double, triple or both. Very compact, concentrated cluster of ~20 stars. Size 4'.
Berkeley 85: Very faint, 6' glow SW from Do 41. A few 14th magnitude stars resolved close to the center. Faintest in the group.
Dolidze 39: Very scattered cluster of ~30 stars mags 9-14. No concentration. Size 12'.
Dolidze 40: Scattered cluster with a bright chain of mag 10 stars running in the E. Some glow suspected in the NE edge. Size 8'.
Dolidze 41: Brightest but not very conspicuous. Some bright mag 8-10 and a small swarm of fainter stars in a 15' area. Very scattered. Barely visible without MegaStar. Slightly elongated. Size 10'.
Dolidze 42: Slightly compressed towards the middle. Stars magnitudes 11-13. Bright 7th magnitude star in the W edge. Size 8'. Surrounded by extremely faint nebulosity?
Feibelman 1: Surrounding and mostly W from 4th magnitude P Cygni. Compressed, scattered cluster of ~20 stars mags 11-14. Looks nebulous at low powers. Size 4'.
Notes: Drawn during three separate nights in August 2005. N up. Only some of the field stars drawn - need I say why.
