Roli

Brampton Tug Tough

Roli was born in Linconshire, England where he was bred by Terry, Angela and Steven Davison at the Brampton kennels. He is a proud and very self-conscious English gentleman and he really is the "master" of the house, or so he likes to think.

Roli likes to spend time with children and allows willingly them to pat him. He never looses his temper, especially not with children. He takes it easy as a good bulldog should, although he can also be very playful. Sometimes he may run wildly around the yard with his "mother-in-law" Bessie, who is his favorite girl. Bessie does not care of Roli's fuzzing around. She promply orders him to behave. And of course Roli loves to tease Patsy, who loses her nerve with Roli from time to time. But as men usually, Roli doesn't care about it.

Roli thinks that it is wonderful to play. No wonder he is named Tug Tough, he just loves to play with tug toys. He also enjoys ball games as well as taking promenades. He usually trots quite briskly when taking a promenade. He moves with great drive, no "lame bulldog" here!

Roli likes to demonstrate his owners how easily he can jump from one place to another. During ferry trips to Sweden he enjoys jumping from one bed to another in the cabin, which is by no means a short distance for a bulldog. Roli must have misunderstood his brace, bulldogs are no agility dogs!

Roli loves music. He likes it when someone sings to him. He even likes his "master's voice". When hearing music, he stop and listens to it fully concentrating and wawing his head in the rhytm of the music. When it comes to music, everything goes. But the best music during long show trips in the car is Johnny Cash - "Folsom Prison Blues" is Roli's favorite!

In dog shows Roli wants to see the people and other dogs, so he is usually seen "quarding" Patsy's cage. He enjoys the attentuion of people that he gets, and poses majestically for the odience. Although he can sometimes be a bit selective, big men have to be barked at.

Roli often admires other dogs in dog shows. His special favorites are small, flat-muzzled dogs like pugs and frenchies, whom he would very much like to make friends with. He thinks that they are just adorable.

Roli has been named after his father Roland, IT CH Calibra Crusader at Brampton.
