HELSINKI WINNER 2009 & NORDIC WINNER 2009 |
|
Last shows of the year, and we can rest for a while! On
Saturday we had Diva and Luna, and Unski (E Fix The Feathers).
Unski got jun VG. With Diva I am really pleased, her result was
junior EXC, but the best part was that she moved like she should,
not jumping all the time! Luna champion EXC3. Judge Moray
Armstrong, UK.
On Sunday we had Bono, Peppi (E Fame And Glory), Diva and
Luna, also Veeti (E Full Of Feathers) was shown. Veeti was
beautifully shown by young Nelli, he got jun G, Bono in a tuff
open class EXC4, junior girls Diva and Peppi VG, and Luna
champion EXC2. Judge Tiina Illukka.

TAAVI VISITING |
|
Taavi and his family came to see his mother and sister. He has
become a handsome boy! Here is a photo of Taavi, Rosa-mother and
Taika.

TURKU INT. NOVEMBER SHOW |
|
We had dachshund Taika for the last time in puppy class. She
behaved very well, and got puppy 1st HP and BOB-puppy! Judge was
Malgorzata Supronowicz, Poland. In setters
Onni (E Fiery Feathers) was in junior class, and got very nicely
VG1, congrats Mari & Onni! Bono in open class EXC1 and Best Male
3, and Eevert (E Evergreen) VG. Tiia Nyberg also had Bono in
Junior Handler competition, and they were placed 2nd in older
handlers class! In junior bitches we had Diva, who just got 9
months old day before the show, she still likes to jump in
movement, but it was better that in Jyväskylä. The judge thought
Diva is "Full of promise. Quality outlines. Racy and elegant."
Onnis sister Peppi (E Fame And Glory) was also in juniors, and
she got VG3. Last was Luna in champion class, and she got EXC1,
and later in Best Bitch, CACIB and BOS! Judge was Andrew Brace,
UK. Big thaks to Riitta and Johanna for all your help!

JYVÄSKYLÄ INT. CACIB SHOW |
|
In Jyväskylä we had puppies Diva and Taika, and Bono in open
class. Taika got puppy 2nd with a very very nice critique from
the judge Hannele Jokisilta. There were a lot (14) of red setter
puppies in the ring, and Diva got also a very nice critique,
unfortunately she needs practise of running, she thinks it's
just fun to jump all the time :) Bono's son Ilo was also in the
ring, but he also thinks it's fun to jump a lot, and no
placement for him, he also got a very nice critique. Bono got
open EXC3, but after I had to leave to the dachshund ring, Vilja
Vehkaoja handled him in the best dog class. And then it got
interesting... When we got back to the setter ring, it was
unbeliavable to see the CACIB-rosette on Bono's cage! The judge
had chosen Bono as best dog! Bono moves so well with Vilja, and
now they had big enough ring to run, and because of the movement
the judge changed the placings. As if that was not enough, Vilja
handled him all the way to Best Of Breed! In the group Bono was
shown by Asta Nummenranta, who did a great job. There was room,
and Bono being quite a big dog with huge movement, had really
enough space to show his movement. He was not placed, but we did
not expect placing from the groupjudge. Judge for the breed was
Mr. Cristian Vantu, Romania, and in the group Martin Johansson,
Sweden.
Many thanks to Vilja and Asta for the help in the showing,
and to Nina for preparing Bono for the group!

PUPPYMEETING
|
|
We spent a lovely day in Turenki, when Bono's 2nd litters
breeder Jussi held a puppymeeting and invited us also. Thank you
Jussi, it was a pleasure and we enjoyed to see all puppies! Hope
to meet you all again!

Aila, Nelli and Veeti (E Full Of Feathers) came for a visit, and

While Veeti was practising, brothers Unski (E Fix The Feathers)
and Rane (E Flashy Feathers) were at Seinäjoki International
show. Boys were competing against each other, and Unski got VG1
and Rane VG2, both got very nice critiques. Well done boys, and
Jetta and Johanna! Judge was Marianne Holmli, Norway. |

ECKERÖ INTERNTIONAL CACIB SHOW |
|
We travelled again for a long weekend to Åland, and Eckerö
International show. Bono got open EXC4, and Luna champion EXC2
and 4th best bitch. Judge Inga Siil, Estonia. Rosa was also
shown, and got an excellent critique. Unfortunately she really
didn't want to move, and the judge had no other choice than to

HYVINKÄÄ GROUPSPECIALITY |
|
At Hyvinkää groupshow we had Bono, Peppi (Fame And Glory), Luna
and Rosa. Bono open EXC3, Peppi jun EXC2, and Luna champion EXC1
and 2nd best bitch. Also Eevert (Evergreen) was shown, and he
did very well being open EXC2! Judge Zsuzsanna Váczi-Balough,
Hungary. Rosa did great, and she got open EXC1, best bitch with
her last CAC, and BOS! Judge Irina Poletaeva. |

PORVOO ALL BREED SHOW |
|
At Porvoo we had Luna ja Peppi (E Fame And Glory), and also Aatu
(E Dictate N'Run) and Eevi (E Electra). Luna champion EXC1 and
2nd best bitch, and Peppi jun EXC2. Aatu has come a lot, but he
still needs time, and got open VG. Eevi was in her first show,
and got VG, she also does need some time! Judge Michael Forte,
Ireland.

|
Diva and Taika started their show carreers at Köyliö puppyshow.
Diva was 3rd in a big class with really nice critique. Taika got
BOB puppy and she also won the group! |

NEW TITLES FOR LUNA |
|
Luna got her champion diploma from Latvia, and at the same time
we also finally applied for the title of RKF CH, and that is
also now confirmed. |
|

PÄRNU INTERNATIONAL CACIB SHOW, ESTONIA AND OGRE CAC, LATVIA |
|
We did a small holiday trip with Bono and Luna to Estonia and Latvia. On
Saturday in Pärnu Int. show Bono won the open class, and was 2nd
best dog with res-CACIB! Luna won champion class, was Best Bitch,
got CAC & CACIB, and C.I.E.! Judge Inga Siil, Estonia.
On Sunday in Ogre, Latvia Bono was 2nd in open class and 3rd
best male, and Luna again Best Bitch, CAC, BOS and Latvian
Champion! Judge Nijole Zieniene, Lithuania.

Glory). Rane did great, and was Puppy 1st with HP and BOS-puppy.

CLUB SHOW MÄNTTÄ |
|
In Mänttä Club Show in puppies Fimba (E Feathers aFire) and Peppi
(E Fame And Glory), and Bono and Luna. Fimba Puppy 2nd, and Peppi Puppy
2nd HP. Bono did great, he was placed as 2nd with HP in a strong
Champion class, and Luna veteran 1st with HP, 4th best bitch and
BOS-veteran. Luna's progeny group was placed 5th (in the group
we had Bono 4 years, and Fimba & Peppi 8 months).
Judge for the puppies and males was Peter Armstrong (kennel Atron)
and bitches Lesley Armstrong-Rodgers. Thank you Hannele and Pia
for your help! |

We visited Taavi with mother Rosa and sister Taika. Taavi is a
very nice young man! The puppies had a nice time playing
together!

RAUMA CAC SHOW |
|
At Rauma all breed national show we had puppies Fimba (E Feathers
aFire), Unski (E Fix The Feathers) and Peppi (E Fame And Glory),
in open class Bono (E Celtic Legend) and in intermediate bitches Nemea (Trawricka Heart O Gold). Fimba Puppy
1st and Unski Puppy 2nd,
boys didn't get HP because they need to mature... Sister Peppi
got HP, and she became BOB-puppy. Nemea still needs a lot of
time, and she got VG4, but we are very pleased with her behavior,
nowadays she runs on her all four legs and can stand still for a
while! Bono did very well, he was 2nd best male. Judge Rony
Doejins, the Netherlands.

TAMPERE PUPPYSHOW |
|
We spent a long and lovely day with F-puppies at Tampere
Puppyshow. In bigger boys (7-9 months) we had Fimba (E Feathers aFire), Rane (E Flashy Feathers)
and Onni (E Fiery Feathers). Fimba (jumping around :) ) did
great and won his class with HP, he was also Best Male, Best Of
Breed puppy and 4th in group! Rane was placed 2nd, also
with HP, and Onni was 3rd in this class. In bigger girls we had Peppi (E Fame And Glory)
and Ingrid (E Full Of Glory). Peppi won the class with HP and
was placed as 2nd best bitch. Also Ingrid was performing nicely,
and was 2nd in the class. We also showed for us a very rare
breedersgroup (Fimba, Rane, Onni, Peppi), and it was awarded
BOB-breedersgroup. Not a bad day at all! The judge was Merja Järnstedt.
Thank you to all of you, it was lovely to see you and the babies!

TAAVI MOVED |
|
Dachshundboy Taavi (E Mini Apollon) has moved to family Sahlman,
to be Oona's own dog. Taavi has an important role as keeping the
settergirls under his paw. Thank you Anu and the rest of the
family, and all the best with this precious little boy! You can

|
Another new member in our dogfamily is this little lovely girl,
Bono's daughter Northworth Red Sandstorm "Diva". She is
also a very lively little devil! |

Few weeks ago we took back a young lady bred by us, because her
owner could not keep her anymore. "Lyyli" (E Enigma) is a very
lively and has absolutely wonderful character. She did
immediately felt at home, and she is so easy to live with. She
stays with us for now. |

KOKEMÄKI PUPPYSHOW |
|
Unski (E Fix The Feathers) went to his first show during Easter,
and the result was very nice: in little boys (5-7months) he got
1 HP and 2nd best malepuppy! Congrats Jetta and Unski! |

to have a look at Bono & Dee Dee's babies. Puppies were 5 and 6

Luna and Justus' puppies had a visit to their first puppyshow.
Fimba (E Feathers aFire) and Peppi (E Fame And Glory) did both
very well, Fimba was 4th best malepuppy and Peppi 3rd best
bitchpuppy! Both of them got really good qritiques, and both

27th February is a good day for little setters to born! Our
B-puppies were born on just that day already 7 years ago, and
our E-puppies (who are btw Butterfly's babies!) 2 years ago on
the same day! Congratulations to all! |

In the beginning of February we got two new members to our "hairy-team",
as red & white catboys moved to us. |

ROSA IS MATED! |
|
As
Rosa came into season, we travelled to Sweden to meet the
gorgeous Rosso (Dachsmeister's Eros). We hope to have our first
dachshund litter in the beginning of March! |

JANUARY 2009 |
|
The past year was very for us in the show ground, and mostly
with our dachshund Rosa. She did have pretty nice success; In
Helsinki BOB and CAC, in Eckerö Int. she was BOS with CAC and
CACIB, in Kotka
Int. 2nd best bitch with CAC, and from Turku Int., Järvenpää and
Helsinki Int. res-CAC. From Stockholm World Winner show she got
the title Junior World Winner, and in
World Dachshund Speciality she was BOB-junior and BIS4 junior.
Rosa also had her eyes and knees examined, and they were perfect.
Also we went to see the fox for few times, and we hope to train
more hopefully after puppies. Bono was shown for a few times,
and he got some nice best dog placements. He is still young, and
has time to go to shows. Luna was is the ring in Stockholm World
Winner show, and was placed second in champion class.
In the spring we imported a bitch puppy from Belgium,
Trawricka Heart O Gold, and wait for her to mature a bit. She is
to us from a very interesting combination, Supertrouper v.h.
Adelaarsvaren x Hillsborough Charmed.
Our long time dream came true in Octobe, when Luna got
puppies by our own Copper's Feather In My Cap (Justus). We kept
one very lively bitch, Entice Fame And Glory. She lives with her
own people in Helsinki. All of the puppies got great homes, and
we hope to see them also in the show rings.
Milla's (E Butterfly) puppies had hip x-rays with excellent
results: E Esmeralda HD A/A and ED 0/0, E Enigma A/A, 0/0, E Especial Moth A/A, 0/0,
E Evergreen B/B, 0/0!
Bono also mated a bitch at the end of the year, Northworth
Red New Pillow. Rosa also started her season, and she is also
mated. We hope both are successfulls, and there will be red
puppies, bigger and smaller ones!
